Today the 54th Tolosa Choral Contest, which will take place from 1 to 5 November, has been presented at a press conference.

In this edition we will count on the participation of Chamber Choirs and Vocal Groups. In total 17 choirs from 14 countries will take part: Finland, Germany, Norway, Lithuania, Basque Country, Italy, Iceland, United Kingdom, China, Korea, Japan and The Philippines. This is the first time that six Asian choirs compete in the Competition.

Mention is also made of the important participation of choirs from Northern Europe, which make clear the outstanding Nordic school that usually goes to Tolosa and the participation of the Basque male choir, Suhar Korua.

It is also necessary to highlight, as always, the importance of the coral circuit, the localities to which the choirs go to complement their participation in the competition. In the coral circuit this year we have 58 concerts distributed between localities in Navarra, Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia, Cantabria and Aragon.
