The Festival has always been accompanied and complemented by a series of exhibitions which, in the beginning, were collective events featuring works by different puppet makers from both Spain and abroad.
From 1992 onwards, and coinciding with the Festival’s
10th anniversary, these exhibitions became monographic in nature. With the
advent in 1994 of the so-called ‘special sections’ dedicated
to a specific country (nowadays known as the ‘Windows onto ...’
sections), these exhibitions became even more relevant and began to focus
on a single country.
